Santa Barbara Technology Group Hosts its Fourth Successful SB Tech Brew

Santa Barbara, Calif., Jan. 10, 2001 -- More than 400 high-tech professionals attended the SB Tech Brew on Monday, January 8 at El Paseo in downtown Santa Barbara. Hosted by Santa Barbara Technology Group, the event attracted an enthusiastic crowd of high-tech executives, engineers, entrepreneurs, marketers, educators, and sales people.

The SB Tech Brew series began in August 2000 as a networking event for high-technology professionals, providing them with a venue to exchange ideas, network, and focus on high-tech business growth in Santa Barbara. Invitations to the event are open to anyone interested in high technology and wants to actively participate in the future of the local business community.

“I’m extremely pleased with the continuing success of the SB Tech Brew series,” said Dennis Cagan, Chairman and CEO of Santa Barbara Technology Group. “The Santa Barbara area is fast becoming a renowned center for high-tech innovation and growth, and it’s important for everyone involved to be able to get together in an informal setting to discuss new ideas and to network.”

Sponsors of Monday’s Tech Brew included Ants.com, UCSB’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Management (CEEM), Compaq Computer, Digital Consulting Services, Cort Furniture Rental, IdeaWork Studios, Nida & Maloney, Silicon Valley Bank, Silicon 2.0, and William Levy Investments’ Entrada de Santa Barbara.
