Santa Barbara, Calif., April 6, 2001 -- Santa Barbara Technology Group (SBTG), a leader in high-technology business development, today announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Advisors. Kate Ludeman, Ph.D., founder of Worth Ethic Corporation, is a widely recognized executive consultant, speaker and author. Monette Stephens is a founding member of Atlas Consulting, which develops early-stage high technology companies. In her 20-year career, Kate Ludeman has worked with over 1,000 senior executives in all types of business, from Fortune 500 companies to high-tech Silicon Valley start-ups. She will provide SBTG and its portfolio companies with services designed to improve the impact and effectiveness of senior executives and executive teams by focusing on leadership assessments, executive coaching, team building, and culture change programs. Ms. Ludeman’s book The Corporate Mystic is acclaimed by many as the leading manual on corporate leadership for the 21st century. She is also the author of The Worth Ethic and Earn What You’re Worth and has written articles for The New York Times business section as well as dozens of other business publications. She has appeared on more than 100 television and radio programs and recently received the Ma Ferguson Award for Excellence in Business from Executive Women International. Ms. Ludeman earned a BS in engineering and a PhD in psychology. Monette Stephens has 15 years of experience in network and system design and architecture and now focuses on market and technical strategy, development and commercialization of technology, and funding. She has served as manager of software development at Software.com, supervisor of technology at WebInsight, and consultant to Sandpiper Networks and Ericsson. Ms. Stephens has also served as an expert consultant for software litigation for high-profile clients including Avant!, Hewlett-Packard, Hyundai, and the US State Attorneys General in the Microsoft antitrust case. She has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, Santa Barbara, lecturing on operating systems, data structures and algorithms, programming languages and numerical methods.
