Santa Barbara, Calif., April 27, 2001 -- Santa Barbara Technology Group (SBTG), a leader in high-technology business development, today announced that Dr. Ernest H. Drew has joined its Board of Directors. A veteran business executive with international experience, Dr. Drew has held leadership positions with the Westinghouse Industries & Technology Group, Hoechst AG, and Hoechst Celanese Corp. Dr. Drew most recently served as CEO of the Industries & Technology Group at Westinghouse Electric Corp. Prior to his tenure at Westinghouse, he was a member of the 8-person Board of Management of Hoechst AG, a $30 billion revenue organization based in Frankfurt, Germany. At Hoechst AG he was responsible for the Basic Chemicals and Technical Polymers divisions as well as the Americas region. He also had regional responsibility for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. From 1988 to 1995, Dr. Drew served as president and CEO of Hoechst Celanese Corp., a $7 billion revenue corporation. Currently he is active on the boards of numerous public companies and educational institutions.
