System Administrator

Full Time 0 - 10 Years Experience

Determine what the organization needs in a network and computer system before building it out.
Oversee installation of all network hardware and software, as well as necessary systems upgrades and repairs.
Help maintain network and computer system security and ensure that all systems are operating correctly.
Collect and analyze data to evaluate network/systems performance and help make the system work better, faster, and with greater accuracy; identify and implement system improvements where needed.
Prepare training materials and train users on the proper use of hardware and software when necessary.
Solve problems quickly when a user or an automated monitoring system lets them know about a problem.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required. Five (5) or more years of experience as a systems administrator is also required. Systems administration certification (e.g., IEEE, CompTIA Network+, Cisco) is desirable. Must have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must be capable of leading a diverse team of computer/network technicians, systems analysts, software developers, and other computer professionals. The position requires someone with exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing; presentation skills/ experience are a definite plus. IT project management experience is a must.
